Jason Tramacchi
Jason came to Bennett Partners in 2010 with over 20 years management experience in both hospitality and retail environments. Jason spent 10 years with a national casual dining chain before switching to retail, which included 4 years with a well recognised hardware chain and 6 years with a national retailer as an area manager, covering sites in Central and North Queensland.
With a strong operational background and a high level understanding of issues that businesses face day to day, Jason provides leadership and support to the business and our clients.
In his current role as Practice Manager, Jason has responsibilities across the Mackay and Brisbane offices for strategic direction, administration, Human Resources and Workplace Health and Safety. Staff development and quality of service are key focus areas to ensure we continue to grow our business.
Laura Jorgensen
Laura has been at Bennett Partners since 2002 after graduating from university with a Bachelor of Business majoring in Accounting and Information Systems. She continued her studies and became a qualified Chartered Accountant in 2005.
Laura works with clients based in a variety of industries with a particular focus on primary production and small business. With a passion for technical research, Laura enjoys being able to guide clients with their taxation decisions and business structures to help them achieve the best possible outcomes.
Belinda Wood
Belinda started with Bennett Partners as a cadet undergraduate accountant in 2005. Studying as well as working full-time, she graduated with a Bachelor of Business majoring in Accounting from CQ University in 2009. Belinda takes prides in her efficient client communication and detailed knowledge of multiple accounting software packages including MYOB and QuickBooks.
During her time at Bennett’s Belinda has been heavily involved in organising team building and community fundraising activities including the Mackay Marina Run in aid of the Leukemia Foundation, group blood donations with Red Cross and the River 2 Reef ride supporting CQ rescue and the Mackay Sporting Wheelies and Disabled Association.
Leonie Tramacchi
Leonie first joined Bennett Partners as a trainee accountant in 1987. After some time away from Mackay studying full time and working with a Chartered Accounting firm in Toowoomba, Leonie recommenced with our firm in 1998. She has a Bachelor of Business majoring in Accounting.
As the firm's SMSF client base grew, Leonie moved into our specialised Self-Managed Super Funds Administration division full time and she assists clients with meeting the requirements of running a SMSF and understanding their duties as trustees and members.
Sonia McClanachan
Sonia has been employed in public practice since 1990, graduated with a Bachelor of Business (with distinction) and a University Medal from University of Southern Queensland in 1996. Sonia furthered her studies and became a Certified Practising Accountant of CPA Australia in 2000.
Sonia is a senior accountant who assists business clients and SMSFs with taxation compliance, including the preparation of financial reports. Sonia also advises clients on general taxation and superannuation matters.
Shannon Carmody
Shannon joined Bennett Partners in 2007 as a cadet accountant, graduating in 2010, progressing to become a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) in 2014. She is currently undertaking studies to become a Chartered Accountant.
Shannon enjoys assisting clients with a range of matters such as helping small business owners meet their various tax and employee obligations. These include income tax, GST, PAYG Withholding and PAYG Income Tax Instalments via Income Tax Returns and Business Activity Statements. She also provides guidance to clients using accounting software such as MYOB, QuickBooks, Payroll Premier & UBS.
Working closely with clients is very rewarding as Shannon helps clients expand their knowledge of accounting programs and tax issues, seeing the positive changes this information has on their business.
Liz Keune
Liz commenced in public practice in 2004, working for a firm in Toowoomba while studying a Bachelor of Commerce. Moving to the more welcoming climate of Mackay in 2006, Liz joined Bennett Partners in 2007 and graduated from her studies in 2008.
Liz primarily assists clients with tax and compliance matters but is also involved in auditing throughout the year. Assisting clients with onsite data processing is also part of her role. Liz finds that going onsite allows her to offer personalised service and develop a close relationship with our clients.
